Safest Choice Eggs Served at Breakfast Fundraiser for Veterans
Safest Choice eggs have worked with the Lansing, Illinois chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary for the past several years. In 2011 we also had the opportunity to be a part of their Annual Breakfast which raises both funds and awareness for veterans, their children and their families.
The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) works to, “support the American Legion while becoming the premier service organization and foundation of every community providing support for our veterans, our military, and their families by shaping a positive future in an atmosphere of fellowship, patriotism, peace and security.”
At the 2011 Annual Breakfast for Veterans, Safest Choice eggs donated 45 dozen shell eggs to help the Lansing, Illinois chapter have a successful breakfast. Our eggs were used to make scrambled eggs and were incorporated in other popular breakfast recipes.
This year’s breakfast was another successful event put together by the Lansing, Illinois ALA chapter. There was a great turnout and many new faces, allowing the ALA to fulfill their mission to “to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad.”
Safest Choice eggs looks forward to working with the Lansing, Illinois American Legion Auxiliary chapter and we are very excited that the 2011 Annual Breakfast was such a success!
