Bacon and Eggs Breakfast Pizza Recipe >

On 09.16.2016 by Jamie Sanders

It’s September - which means it's back to school time! My kids have been back for a few weeks now and are starting to get back into the routine. The routine of go, go, go that is. With all the rushing around in the mornings, after school activities, and homework we don't have a lot of time to make big dinners or from-scratch breakfasts. Today, I've got a great recipe for a bacon and eggs breakfast pizza that comes together in just a few minutes and is perfect for those nights when you're craving breakfast for dinner. Even better, the leftovers are just as yummy heated up for a quick breakfast the next morning. Growing up, it was always a reason to celebrate when mom would announce we were having breakfast for dinner (usually Read More >

Spinach, Kale, and Steak Torte Recipe >

On 04.28.2016 by Angie McGowan

About two years ago, after years of struggling with my weight, I decided to make a real change in mine and my family's diet. I decided it was time to start cooking breakfasts, lunches, and dinners in a more traditional fashion. That meant almost eliminating our sandwich routines, french fry addictions, and after dinner sweet treats. I also really cut back on all those unnecessary processed carbs like breads and crackers and replaced them with healthy carbs like fresh fruits and vegetables. Over the years, I’ve continued to make other changes, too. I’ve limited sugar, cut down on soybean oil (which I’ve realized is found in just about everything, even the body oil I was using!) and limited dairy. I’ve tried to model our diet and Read More >

Spinach and Ham Sweet Potato Hash >

On 03.24.2016 by Matt Ivan

With Easter being the big food holiday in March, you may find yourself with a plethora of leftover ham—if you’re like me, you will for sure. My friends, family, and I make it a point to enjoy epic, elaborate meals that somehow always provide more food than we need. Good thing we all love leftovers too! You look in the fridge and see a large container of leftover bone-in ham plus extra sweet potatoes you tried to fit into the pan, but somehow that five pound bag doesn’t always fit. Naturally you should make spinach and ham sweet potato hash. All you need is a few more ingredients, including Davidson’s Safest Choice® Pasteurized Eggs, for a hearty Easter themed brunch recipe. It’s ideal for feeding Read More >

Baked Scotch Eggs with Guacamole >

On 02.17.2016 by Lindsay Livingston, RD

As a Registered Dietitian, I’m constantly touting the benefits of starting your day with a healthy breakfast. I’ve always been a breakfast lover and considering the fact that I pretty much HAVE to eat something within 15 minutes of waking up, I always find it somewhat baffling that there are people out there who don’t really care about breakfast. (Cough…my husband…cough). Say what?! Luckily for me, my 15-month-old son has definitely inherited my love of breakfast. In fact, his love is so strong that if he decides he wants breakfast and you don’t have it ready in about 30 seconds, a total meltdown will inevitably ensue. So, I do my best to plan ahead and make sure I have breakfast options cooked and ready in Read More >
