Since launching our recipe center a couple of years ago the number of recipes and visitors has continued to grow. So we thought it would be fun to share some interesting facts about what recipes people were looking for and making in 2013.
2013 was a great year, and to look back we’ve rounded up last year’s best recipes from members of the Darling Dozen. In honor of Earth Day I wanted to share many of the ways the Safest Choice™ team works hard towards being an environmentally responsible and sustainable business. I appreciate knowing that sustainability and being green is not only important to me, but to our entire team. In the two years that I have worked for the Safest Choice, I have been impressed to see numerous changes occur throughout our production facilities. On Saturday, December 15th, Safest Choice Eggs hosted a Holiday Eggs-travaganza at the Fullerton, California Albertsons store location. There were three holiday recipe demonstrations, food serving tips and lots of good company. Catherine McCord, of the Weelicious blog, and Chef Louise Mellor, of the Geez Louise blog, were kind enough to help us with our recipe demonstrations. Louise kicked off the event by showing the group how to make a safe Caesar salad using our pasteurized eggs. Louise adapted our recipe for the holidays by adding in Asian pears and dried cranberries. And true to her style, she suggested serving Caesar salad in vintage bowls or cocktail cups. Her recipe looked very festive!
