The past few months have been very busy donation months for the Safest Choice team! We have been absolutely thrilled to both create new and build on long-standing relationships with fantastic organizations such as the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, Feeding South Dakota, Joshua’s Heart Foundation and Feed the Children. These four organizations work hard to put food on the tables of those in need, allowing those individuals to improve the quality of their life. We are honored to be able to work with these organizations which strive to put an end to hunger and provide a basic source of survival to families and individuals in need. In addition to being a retail baking and cake decorating supply boutique, Cakewalk Chicago offers a number of classes teaching people how to decorate their own cakes, cookies and confections. She was thrilled to find pasteurized eggs at her local grocery store and was even more excited that the company producing them was local. During her decorating classes she often teaches how to make cookies and cookie icing. Who can resist sampling raw cookie dough and tasting delectable royal icing? Since recipes like royal icing and buttercream frosting call for raw Read More >

Team Outing to Chicago Wolves Hockey Game >

On 03.05.2012 by Jaclyn Bonfante

“Work hard, play hard!?  This is a sentiment we value here at Safest Choice Eggs.  So, we decided to spend our 2012 leap day together at a Chicago Wolves hockey game.  This employee outing was a really fun experience for the entire team and allowed us all to bond outside the office. The event started with a limo ride to take us from our Lansing office to a local Steak 'n Shake to grab a quick bite before the game.  Many of us enjoyed Steak 'n Shake’s Royale Burger which uses our very own pasteurized shell eggs.  The combination of great burgers and huge milkshakes were a perfect way to start the evening! Our server even brought out one of our eggs to proudly display Read More >

Annual Team Bowling Event >

On 08.31.2011 by Chantel Arsenault

For the last few years Safest Choice eggs hosts a bowling event for the employees that work at the Lansing, IL home office. Like the previous years, this year's bowling outing was a really fun experience.  For some newer team members this was their first outing with co-workers and everyone agreed it was a very enjoyable afternoon. Because everyone at Safest Choice eggs really appreciates working with such a wonderful group of people, and  each person has his or her own personality but they all blend well together,  deciding on partners for the tournament had to be done randomly by drawing names. Then three rounds were  played. Each game was different, the first was bowling poker where if you got a strike or spare you Read More >
