Egg in a Hole Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 4 slices low-sodium organic deli turkey
  • 1 slice Muenster cheese
  • butter to taste
  • 1 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized egg(s)
  • 3 slices avocado

Preparation

  1. Toast 1 slice of bread in a toaster. Heat skillet while bread is toasting.
  2. Place turkey and cheese toasted bread and microwave for 15-20 seconds to warm turkey and melt cheese.
  3. Turn a glass upside down and press into other slice of bread to remove a circle.
  4. Butter skillet, place slice of bread with circle missing in the skillet, and crack egg into hole. Let cook for 1 minute. Flip and cook until egg reaches desired doneness.
  5. Top turkey and cheese with avocado slices and slice of egg toast. Cut and eat!
